Do You Hope, or Do You Know?

One of my teachers uses an interesting mindset technique when spending money. Each time she swipes her card, writes a check, or hands over cash she gets excited. She KNOWS that as she sends her money out to the Universe, it’s going to multiply and come back to her. She always says something silly like, “okay… go make lots of babies, I’ll see you soon!” The first time I heard this I thought it was a little bit ridiculous, but then I thought, ‘what do I have to lose?’

If we’re spending the money anyway, if we’re going through life, making the tough decisions, and wanting our dreams to come true – why not try having a positive mindset about it? Why not expect great things to happen? The truth is, we always get what we expect – when we really look at our lives, we have plenty of evidence for this. So why not expect great things?

Faith is not HOPING that good things will happen to you – faith is KNOWING that good things happen to you. Faith is believing that the money, the job, the relationship, the retirement will all workout for our highest good, without resistance.

I know this can feel foreign; many of us have lived our lives with the motto “expect the worst, hope for the best.” But does it really make sense to expect bad things to happen to us?! How good might it feel to walk around expecting great things to happen, all the time?

I'll tell you what, It feels pretty damn good. :)

This week I invite you to give this a try. As you purchase gifts, or prepare for the parties - expect great things to happen. Expect the money to multiply and come back to you. Expect to look and feel great. Expect to be loved and appreciated. Expect miracles to happen. Miracles happen all the time, we see it everyday, so start expecting them to happen for you.

Wishing you a wonderful week. With love and gratitude,  Robin
